About Sally Gritten

I am an American who has lived in England since 1989. I have enjoyed a variety of business roles as a worker, manager and leader. I believe the business competencies that contributed to my success include:

  • Highly developed written and oral communication skills;
  • Being adept at multi-tasking;
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills;
  • Believing in the importance of being a good team player;
  • Enjoying tackling complex problems;
  • Being organized;
  • Having the ability to think laterally.

But my success also relied on my personal competencies such as a sense of humour and a real belief that people are the centre of an enterprise.

I am family-centred and consider my constellation of husband, children, grandchild, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and cousins to be vital to my sense of well-being.

Central to my value system is that people are able to take control of their lives. This belief influences my life and work and is a pivotal part of my coaching framework.

My academic background consists of an MA in counselling from Arizona State University, an MBA from University of California, Los Angeles and Masters in Professional Coaching from Middlesex University, a course that holds European Mentoring & Coaching Council accreditation at Masters Level.
